Why Join Klima Global?
Impact that scales: Your designs will power comfort, IAQ, and energy efficiency across landmark UAE projects.
Engineering depth: Exposure to cutting-edge HVAC technologies (EC fans, energy recovery, VRF/DX integrations, Intelli-Hood® DCKV).
Career growth: Progression to Senior Design Engineer / Lead – HVAC with mentoring and training.
Trusted brand: We deliver sustainable HVAC solutions trusted by consultants, contractors, and end-users across the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Calculation
Perform cooling/heating load calculations, airflow/ESP definition, coil duties, SHR, and psychrometric analysis.
Select coils (AHRI-rated), fans (curves, efficiency, acoustics), filters (ISO 16890), motors/EC fans, drives/VFDs, and heat recovery modules.
Define electrical load schedules, MCC/VFD requirements, and BMS interface points for HVAC equipment.
Incorporate fire, hygiene, and IAQ requirements (UV/HEPA, slope drain pans, double-skin casing).
Ensure acoustics and vibration isolation considerations are addressed.
Configuration & Compliance
Develop AHU/FAHU/HRV/Ecology configurations, GA drawings, and module layouts with service clearances.
Specify casing performance to EN 1886 (thermal classes, leakage class, filter bypass).
Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, Eurovent, and UAE local authority standards (DEWA, DM, ADDC).
Prepare authority submission drawings and compliance documentation for DEWA, DM, and ADDC approvals.
Support Eurovent/AHRI certification processes and ensure UL/CE conformity for electrical sections.
Documentation & Manufacturing Support
Produce selection printouts, BOQs/BOMs, compliance matrices, and data sheets.
Prepare submittal packages for consultant/client approval.
Issue manufacturing packs (GA, selections, electrical loads, interface points) to production.
Apply design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal, insulation panels, drain pans, and casing assemblies.
Support prototyping, FAT/SAT, certification testing, Eurovent certification audits and QA reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with sales for value engineering, procurement for long-lead components, QA for compliance checks, and projects for technical clarifications.
Participate in technical approval meetings with contractors/consultants/clients to present and defend design choices.
Update and revise designs based on consultant/client feedback to ensure approvals.
Confidently present designs in consultant/client approval meetings and industry exhibitions.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) or equivalent.
Experience: 3–6 years in central AC system design (AHU/FAHU/HRV/Ecology/packaged units) with UAE/GCC experience.
Strong knowledge of psychrometrics, coil/fan/filtration sizing, acoustics, and casing specs.
Proficient in AutoCAD, AHU selection tools, MS Excel; exposure to CFD, FEA, or BIM/Revit is a plus.
Familiar with EN 1886, ISO 16890, ASHRAE, SMACNA, Eurovent, and UAE local regulations.
Excellent technical documentation and BOQ/BOM preparation skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Hygienic AHU and healthcare/cleanroom design exposure (HTM 03-01 familiarity).
Knowledge of sustainability standards (LEED, Estidama) and energy-efficient HVAC design.
Experience with EC fan arrays, UV/HEPA, and corrosion protection specs.
Hands-on coordination during manufacturing and certification testing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 QA environments, DFMEA methodology, and authority submission processes.
